How to Order:

Payment Information

SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE accepts the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and American Express.  Most orders are shipped within 48 hours of receipt.

Shipping Information

We use Fed Ex as our normal shipper. 

Goods packed in glass (i.e. cocktail mix) cannot be shipped Fed Ex.

Hazardous material products that come to mind that we sell are butane fuel and all the chafer fuels. These cannot be shipped Fed Ex and must be shipped by common carrier and noted on a LTL freight bill as hazardous.

Freight Claims: All freight claims are the responsibility of the consignee and must be filed with the carrier. Visual damage should be noted on the bill of lading and signed by the carrier.

Glass/China: Glassware, china and consumables are especially fragile and are shipped at customer risk only. We will repack these products, at a cost of .95 per carton, which will then be shipped via Fed Ex. We will not issue credit for any damaged or refused shipments, unless we have repacked the item.

Warranty Information

SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE stocks well known, standard brands which are backed by their respective manufacturers. Most manufacturers will not permit a wholesaler to make any adjustment, replace any part, accept a return or exchange any defective or unsatisfactory merchandise without written permission from them. Customers should abide by the warranty instructions provided by the manufacturer. SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE will assist and if possible, help expedite the occasional difficulty.  Please call us at 1-800-662-4242 or 503-833-1189 with any questions.

If a non-mechanical item is received and is defective, you must contact SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE within 7 days from the date of receipt. SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE will contact the respective manufacturer or vendor to arrange for replacement. You will be shipped the replacement directly from the manufacturer or vendor and you will also be issued a call tag for the pickup and return of the defective item.

Hazardous Materials

SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE stocks certain items that are classified as hazardous material by the Department of Labor. Any customer who would like Material Safety Data sheets on any hazardous material that we carry can receive them by contacting us at 1-800-662-4242 or 503-833-1189.

Returns

1.  All orders are subject to a 25% restocking charge.  Any custom made products, including those that are printed special are not returnable.

2.  Used items or items not in their original carton, container, etc., will not be accepted as returns.  

3.  Customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways unless it is an approved vendor or SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE error.

4.  Contact SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE at 1-800-662-4242 to begin the return process. 

5.  You must have a customer return authorization from SMART FOODSERVICE ONLINE or your return will not be accepted.  These items will be mailed to you after approval of the return.

6.  Place the return authorization inside the return box.  Attach the label to the outside of the return box. Prepay freight and ship.  WE DO NOT ACCEPT COD RETURNS.  

7.  Consumable merchandise may not be returned after 30 days of purchase.

We will gladly correct any errors on our part, if they are brought to our attention immediately.
